5 arrested in W. Mich. crime spree
WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Five people are behind bars on Thursday night, accused of going on an expensive crime spree across West Michigan.
Michigan State Police started investigating back in January after $60,000 in tools and equipment was stolen from an auto repair shop in Evart.
Officers were able to track down the suspects after two of them were arrested on unrelated charges in Isabella County.
One of them had been released on bond, and was later caught with the stolen items at his home.
Further investigation led police to find more stolen property and more thieves involved in the crime ring.
All five suspects are expected to be arraigned on Friday.
The case itself remains under investigation.
Anyone with information should call the Michigan State Police.
