Kickoff events planned for American Cancer Society study recruitment
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The American Cancer Society needs hundreds of volunteers to join the fight against cancer in West Michigan.
As Newschannel 3 reported last fall, the non-profit is launching a nationwide long-term study, and it needs 350 local volunteers.
Enrollment starts in May, but Wednesday and Thursday, several kickoff events are being held where you can learn more.
One event begins at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Whirlpool in St. Joseph.
Another will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Perrigo on Eastern Avenue in Allegan.
