Some former college students getting unexpected degrees
MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Some former college students in Michigan could soon receive degrees they did not know they had earned.
An effort known as Project Win-Win is helping community colleges and four year schools in the state go through their databases.
They're looking to find former students who have already earned enough credits to receive an associate's degree or are just a few classes shy.
The goal is to encourage students to return to school to finish their associates or to seek bachelor's degrees if they've already earned an associates.
Project Win-Win has spread to several states across the country after having a lot of success in Missouri.
