Stock market reaches record levels
NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The stock market has reached new territory Tuesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared to an all-time high, jumping nearly 1 percent by the closing bell, and adding 126 points to close at 14,253.
That's the highest since October 2007, before the financial crisis set in.
The NASDAQ gained 42 points, closing the day at 3,224, and the S&P 500 also finished on the rise, closing at 1,539.
