Man accused of trying to solicit sex from teen will stand trial

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A Van Buren County man accused of trying to solicit an underage girl for sex will stand trial.

24-year-old Ricardo Cura waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday, meaning he will stand trial on the charges against him.

Police say Cura started texting with a person in South Haven, a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl. However it was really an adult who contacted police when the conversation turned sexual.

Investigators say Cura also had numerous relationships with young girls on Facebook.
