(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new iPhone case on the market is packing more than just protection for your phone, it also offers some protection for you.
The Yellow Jacket smartphone case comes equipped with a stun gun.
The makers say it packs quite a punch and police say you should get training before trying to use it.
"Absolutely. Learn how to use it, learn the in's and out's of how to use it, so when it comes time to needing it, you're proficient at it and you're within the letter of the law," said Cpl. Tommy Stubbs of the Baton Rouge PD.
The company that makes the Yellow Jacket stun case says its working on models for the iPhone 5, as well as android phones.
