Updated: Fatal crash in Van Buren Co.
NEAR BLOOMINGDALE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Deputies are investigating a deadly car crash in Van Buren County.
Deputies say that 38-year-old Timothy Thurston of Grand Junction was killed after crashing into a tree near the corner of 46th Street and Baseline Road just outside Bloomingdale.
The car was found around 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Thurston was dead when officers arrived on scene.
Deputies are now waiting on toxicology results to determine what other causes if any led to this crash. They said that speed appears to be a factor.
Investigators say that he was not wearing a seat belt and the air bags in his vehicle did not deploy.
