2 women struck outside Thirsty Parrot

DAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Deputies in Montcalm County are investigating after two women were hit by a vehicle outside of a bar following a fight.

It happened early Sunday morning on North Sheridan Road in Day Township.

Investigators say they were called to The Thirsty Parrot Bar for a fight and two women that were hit by a vehicle.

Officers say it started when an argument led to a fight outside the bar. Two of the people involved left in their vehicle, but hit two women as they were pulling away.

The victims are a 50-year-old Stanwood woman and a 23-year-old woman from Stanton. One sought her own treatment and the other was treated at Sheridan Community Hospital.

Officers say that a 22-year-old Stanton man and a 33-year-old Stanton woman were the other people involved in the fight.

The case has been handed over to prosecutors.
