Firefighter to be laid to rest
PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Monday, family and friends will say goodbye to a fallen Mattawan firefighter.
The funeral service for Nate Fruin is at 1:30 Monday afternoon at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Portage.
Fruin started with the Mattawan Fire Department as a cadet when he was just 16.
He went into cardiac arrest last week on the way to a fire in Van Buren County.
Fruin was 22-years-old.
