Kzoo Police release new information in Jan. robbery

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kalamazoo Public Safety officers released another clue in the January robbery of a Fifth-Third Bank on Portage Road.

Surveillance photos from the robbery show an unknown, older, white male, who has been identified as the suspect in the case.

The jacket he was wearing in surveillance photos was identified by investigators as having embroidery on the left breast saying "AFSCME PEOPLE."

AFSCME is the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.

Kalamazoo Public Safety noted also that the local AFSCME has been "extremely helpful" in the investigation.

If anyone has any information as to the identity of the suspect in the theft, they are asked to contact Kalamazoo Public Safety or Silent Observer.
