New allegations surface against Troy Pope

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - New allegations have emerged surrounding former Calhoun County Corrections Officer Troy Pope.

Pope is facing multiple criminal sexual conduct charges right now, after he was accused of molesting teen boys.

Now, federal court documents show that he was also accused of looking at child porn at work, and staring at a juvenile inmate while he showered.

A nurse who used to work with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department says she was fired for bringing rumors of the porn to the attention of the department.

At the time, Pope's father, Tom Pope, was the Undersheriff.

The nurse is now suing Tom Pope, her former employer, and another Sheriff's deputy for tens of thousands of dollars in damages.
