Plea offered in cross-county manhunt

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A woman, accused of sparking a cross-country manhunt with a pair of escaped inmates entered a plea in court Tuesday.

Allegan Police say Laura Lee Grauman pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and unlawfully driving away in an automobile.

Grauman and 17-year-old Brittany Rector took off in late September after Gregory Bradshaw and Kenneth Grauman dug their way out of a jail re-entry program in Baldwin.

The quartet eluded police for more than a week sparking a cross-country manhunt.

The group was arrested after a couple of break-ins and several stolen cars when they were found cooking meth in a Colorado motel room.

All four face a laundry list of charges in several states.
