Surveillance camera captures peculiar activity at home
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The man who walked up to the front door of Zachary Milhoan's house in Pennfield Township seemed to have no idea everything he was doing was being captured on surveillance camera.
And the way he was acting Milhoan says it was clear he wasn't there just for a visit.
"Trying to open the door, then he's trying to look around seeing if he can jimmy it open, then going to the front door see if he can gain access that way," says Milhoan.
The man also covers his hand with his shirt and makes sure not to touch anything.
Milhoan recently installed four cameras took a clear face shot of the man trying the back door and looking in, he then goes around to the front door.
He then walks all the way around the house.
And the camera caught the man driving up in a newer model silver Dodge Caravan.
Milhoan says some of his neighbors also say they’ve seen it.
"A couple of my neighbors have said they've heard rumors of a silver van or another silver car casing the neighborhood,” says Milhoun.
He thinks the only reason nothing was taken out of his house was that all his doors were locked.
But with such clear images from his cameras he hopes the man is caught before he tries it again.
"That's the purpose of why I put up my cameras like I did," says Milhoan.
Milhoan lives near the intersection of Morgan Road and North Avenue.
He asks that anyone with information call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
