Sewage overflow in village of Augusta
AUGUSTA, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The City of Kalamazoo announced Wednesday that services are being provided to deal with a sanitary sewer overflow in the Village of Augusta.
Repairs are scheduled for a discharge line near the Jefferson Street lift station, as untreated sewage has been released in that general area.
The repairs are expected to take place Thursday to deal with sewage which has been discharged from the line since March 15th.
Estimates from the city place the amount of the leakage at 360 gallons, at a rate of 5 gallons per two hour cycle.
