Public hearing over Alamo Drafthouse liquor license

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A public hearing on the liquor license for the future Alamo Drafthouse will be held Wednesday.

The Alamo Drafthouse hopes to be opened this summer. It's taking over the spot of the former Rave Theater.

That building has been vacant since November 25th.

Alamo Drafthouse is a chain of theaters that will have waiters serving dinner and drinks during movies.

The public hearing will take place during the Kalamazoo Downtown Development Authority meeting at 3:00 at the city commission chambers.
