LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Michigan Automobile Theft Prevention Authority, a division of the Michigan State Police, says auto thefts are on the decline.
Auto thefts declines 6.8 percent from 2010 to 2011.
They agency says the most stolen vehicle in Michigan is the 2000 Dodge Caravan minivan.
Black is the most common color for stolen vehicles.
The car thief's favorite month to steal a car is July.
