Calhoun Co. Building flooded after pipe bursts

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Workers are trying to clean up $1 million worth of damage at the Calhoun County Building.

An old pipe burst on the first floor of the 50-plus year old building on January 4th.

Contractors are still cleaning out the water, so mold doesn't form.

Everyone has been moved to the third floor for now, including the county's Planning Office and Senior Services.

Thankfully, taxpayers won't have to pay a dime, as everything is covered by insurance.
