Authorities practicing ice rescues in Grand Haven
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Tuesday the Grand Haven Coast Guard and other local responders will be practicing ice rescues at Station Grand Haven.
Crews will simulate an ice fishing accident.
The demonstration is open to the public Tuesday at 11:00am.
First responders will also describe best practices for those who are determined to be out on the ice.
Sunday night the Coast Guard rescued 10 people from Saginaw Bay.
