Power restored after transformer catches fire
KALAMAZOO/PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Power has been restored to more than 1,100 customers in Kalamazoo and Portage.
They were left in the dark after a transformer caught fire near the corner of Kilgore and Lovers Lane around 4:00 Tuesday morning.
Loy Norrix High School is closed Tuesday because of that power outage.
