Fire damages apartment in Vicksburg
VICKSBURG, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Firefighters are working to figure out what started an apartment fire above the Vicksburg Antique Mall.
The fire started Saturday night in the 100 block of South Main Street.
Firefighters say the two people living inside an apartment there noticed smoke coming from one of the rooms and alerted officials.
Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which was contained to the attic.
Officials say there was only minor damage done to the apartment.
The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
