Voters head to polls in some W. Mich. counties

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Voters in a few communities headed to the polls Tuesday, the first of four dates established for elections in Michigan.

In Martin, the school district there is asking voters to approve a $5.5 million bond proposal to renovate the old Boysen Grocery Store building into a community center.

Hopkins schools in Allegan County, Lakeview schools in Kent, Mecosta, and Montcalm County, and Fremont Schools in Muskegon County are asking for millage renewal.

Clarence Township, in Calhoun County, is also asking for a millage renewal as well.
