Former youth pastor to be sentenced for molesting girl
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A former youth pastor in Kent County is set to learn his sentence Tuesday after he admitted to molesting a teenage girl.
Last month Matthew Abid pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual conduct. In exchange prosecutors dropped another charge against him.
Police say the assault happened in December 2011 at a church on Lamoreaux Drive where the 15-year-old victim was taking a driver's training class.
Abid was a youth ministry leader at a different church at the time.
