Drugs, guns found in Kalamazoo home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police in Kalamazoo have arrested a 60-year-old male on a number of drug-related charges following a Thursday raid.

Police executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Trimble Avenue Thursday and upon entering the house found a 60-year-old male and 48-year-old female as well as 14 baggies of crack cocaine and 27 baggies of marijuana, both packed for sale.

Officers say they also found a loaded shotgun, loaded handgun, digital scales and packaging equipment.

The 60-year-old male was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, felon in possession of a firearm, felony firearm and maintaining a drug house.

Police say they will also be seeking charges against the female.
