Ottawa Co. man faces judge for CSC charges
HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An Ottawa County man faced a judge Thursday on several charges, including the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
We first told you about Matthew Mahaney on Wednesday.
He has now been charged with criminal sexual conduct involving a minor, destruction of property and domestic violence. The destruction of property and domestic violence charges prompted his arrest, and the CSC charge was added after he was found with the girl.
Police say he victimized the girl at the Wooden Shoe Motel in Holland.
She had run away from home last week.
The girl's mother thinks her daughter met Mahaney on a dating website and made arrangements to meet him.
