Formerly deported felon sentenced in document fraud ring
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Federal prosecutors in Grand Rapids say a man has been sentenced in a document fraud ring.
48-year-old Jacinto Morales-Martinez of Mexico, a previously deported felon, was sentenced Tuesday. He received 60 months in prison for his leadership role in a family-based document trafficking ring.
Investigators say that he provided fake immigration and identification documents for illegal aliens in southwest Michigan.
11 other people were convicted for their part in the ring. They were all convicted.
