Police: Man steals wallet from man having chest pains

ILLINOIS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police say one Illinois man tried to profit off another's near-death experience.

The whole thing was caught on camera.

"I felt fine, and then all at once, I took a drink of my beer, and I felt a real sharp pain, like somebody sticking an ice pick in my chest," said Larry Lotter.

Larry Lotter thought he was having a heart attack while hanging out at a local bar.

One of his fellow patrons, Bryan Kuegler, knelt down concerned, but then took Lotter's wallet.

Bar owners say he went to the bathroom with that wallet and took out the money, then returned the wallet.

He later even tried to buy a girl a drink at the bar with Lotter's money.

Thanks to the surveillance video Kuelger was arrested.

Doctors say the biggest shocker is Lotter didn't even have a heart attack, but it's possible Kuelger slipped something into his drink.
