Search area for missing jet will be expanded

INDIAN OCEAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Australia's Prime Minister says the underwater search for the missing Malaysia airlines jet will be expanded.

Prime Minister Tony Abbot says the U.S. Navy's Bluefin 21 has finished its initial search area off the Australian west coast and hasn't found anything.

The original search area was a circle with a six-mile radius nearly 3-miles deep around a spot where signals consistent with the airplane's black boxes were heard on April 8th.
