WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

Okla. college student makes last tuition payment--in pennies

BETHANY, Oklahoma (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - See a penny, pick it up?

A soon-to-be college grad in Oklahoma is making his final tuition payment with 500 pounds of pennies.

That's 97,400 pennies, or $974.

24-year-old Andrew Magbee said he knew pennies added up, so he's been saving them for awhile.

His resourcefulness paid off too, as he's graduating college debt free.

"I collected aluminum cans, I started a sandwich shop, I mowed lawns, painted houses," Magbee said. "It's the idea that pennies add up; and being frugal counts and working hard counts."

Magbee says he hopes to set an example for future college students.
