Modified Boeing 737 to aid search for missing plane

AUSTRALIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Tuesday, Australia is deploying a modified Boeing 737 to act as a flying air traffic controller over the Indian Ocean.

It will help co-ordinate the search for the missing Malaysia airliner.

Right now there are ten planes and nine ships taking part in the search for Flight 370, but poor weather and low visibility are in the forecast.

An Australian ship fitted with an American black box locator is sailing toward the latest search zone in the Indian Ocean.

Authorities are hoping to find missing Malaysia Flight 370 before the batteries on the black box run out in about a week.
