Hijacked plane report was actually drunken passenger

AUSTRALIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A report of an airplane hijacked from Australia turned out to be just a drunk passenger.

The passenger has now been arrested.

This happened on a Virgin flight heading to Indonesia which made an emergency landing in Bali.

An airline spokesman says the unruly suspect attempted to break into the cockpit, prompting the pilot to make a hijack call.

Virgin officials now say it was never a hijacking, just a misunderstanding.

It's not clear what charges the passenger may now be facing.
