Stabbing suspect in Pittsburgh to be prosecuted as an adult

PITTSBURGH (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Authorities say a 16-year-old high school student accused of stabbing 22 people at his suburban Pittsburgh school will be prosecuted as an adult.

Authorities accuse Alex Hribal of attacking 21 students and a security guard with two kitchen knives Wednesday morning.

At least five students were critically injured.

Hrbial has been charged with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault.
