New push in search for Joseph Kony

UGANDA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The search for fugitive African warlord Joseph Kony is getting a new push.

According to the Washington Post, the U.S. is sending at least four aircrafts and 150 more Air Force Special Operations members and airmen to Uganda.

President Obama is sending the troops to help local forces in their fight against Kony's Lord's Resistance Army.

He already sent about 100 troops to help the African forces in 2011.

The United Nations accuses Kony's army of killing and mutilating innocent people and kidnapping thousands of children to be soldiers and sex slaves.

A video about the warlord was one of the most watched videos on Youtube in 2012.
