WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

Naked man attacks high school student

NORTH CAROLINA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police say a naked man attacked a high school student in North Carolina.

A witness said when he first saw the naked man outside the school, he thought it was a senior carrying out a dare.

Then it turned serious.

He saw the man repeatedly punch the student.

Authorities say 21-year-old Timothy Rogers had escaped from a hospital trauma unit, where he was getting treatment for a stab wound.

Then the 911 calls started coming in.

Two teachers saw the attack and jumped in to help. So did a school resource officer, who took Rogers into custody.

Police say Rogers bit one of the teachers and bit the officer.

Rogers was taken to a hospital and will be charged upon his release.

The student had minor injuries.
