WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Food and Drug Administration is launching a new ad campaign that will target young people and highlight the dangers of smoking.

The FDA will be making the announcement Tuesday.

"The Real Cost" campaign will launch on February 11th and will include ads on TV and radio, as well as print and social media.

Officials say the $115-million campaign will target more than 10-million young people ages 12 to 17 that are open to, or already experimenting, with cigarettes.

The ads will run in more than 200-markets throughout the U.S. for at least one year.
