Military helicopter crashes, killing 4

NEAR LONDON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - British police are investigating after a military helicopter crashed, killing four U.S. Air Force members.

The helicopter was based at a royal air force station about 130 miles north of London.

U.S. officials say the helicopter was on a low-level training mission when it went down.

Right now officials say the concern is for the safety of those investigating since the chopper carried ammunition.

Witnesses explain the crash.

"It seemed like two headlights, I suppose, that what it looked like to me, but it was going pretty fast," said Sue McKnespiey.

Investigators say it could be days before they pinpoint a cause of the crash.
