Three years since Tucson shootings

TUCSON, Arizona (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Wednesday marks three years since the shooting in Tucson where a gunman opened fire, killing six and injuring another 18, including Arizona's former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

The anniversary will be marked with bell-ringing and other ceremonies, including a moment of reflection for the victims and an opportunity to look ahead at efforts to remake the gun debate in America.

Giffords still struggles to speak and walk after being shot point blank in the head.

She has become a leader of "Americans for Responsible Solutions," a national organization she founded with her husband to rival the pro-gun lobby.
