Five killed in Cairo bombings

CAIRO, Egypt (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A series of bombings Friday morning have killed at least five people in Cairo. More than 50 others have been injured.

The first blast was a suicide bomber. Officials say he blew himself up in a car that was parked at a top security compound in central Cairo.

It's the deadliest attack since a military coup ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi last summer.

The blasts also come the day before the three-year anniversary of the uprising against President Hosni Mubarak.
