Statistics: People starting to ditch colder weather states

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - People are ditching cold-weather states for warmer weather climates, according to demographers.

The Census Bureau's latest population estimates are expected out Monday.

But demographers have already leaked some predictions.

They expect the once number one most populated state of New York to have fallen into 4th place, just behind Florida.

California and Texas will remain numbers one and two.
