FAST FEEDBACK: Tennessee school separates underperforming students
LA VERGNE, Tenn. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Tennessee high school is causing some waves with a new academic program.
La Vergne High School is putting underperforming students in a separate lunch location, with half of the lunch period set up for a learning lab.
Parents have complained to the school district, with one telling local station WSMV that it is "a civil rights violation, and segregation, no doubt."
The school, meanwhile, contends that graduate rate has gone up since the program has begun operation.
