WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We're learning more Friday morning about the woman who was shot to death by police after trying to breach a barrier at the White House.
Miriam Carey's mother says her daughter was suffering from post partum depression.
She says her daughter had "no history of violence" and she didn't know why she was even in D.C.
Investigators have been searching Carey's home in Connecticut all night long. They have taped off the entire apartment complex, allowing no one in or out.
