Motorcyclist arraigned in New York biker attack
NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The motorcyclist accused of triggering a bloody confrontation between bikers and an SUV driver in New York City has been arraigned.
Reginald Chance is charged with gang assault. He's being held on a $75,000 cash bond after Sunday's arraignment.
Police say Chance started the confrontation after he broke the window of the SUV. The driver then fled the scene, running over one of the bikers.
The bikers later caught up to the SUV and dragged the driver out of his vehicle and beat him in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter, who were sitting in the car.
Chance's lawyers say his role has been quote "fairly overstated" and he will fight the charges.
