Campus officer awarded money in pepper spray incident
CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The campus officer who pepper sprayed a group of students at U.C. Davis during an Occupy protest in November of 2011 has just been awarded $38,000 after winning a disability case.
John Pike lost his job over the incident after the video went viral.
His attorney argued for workers comp, saying Pike suffered from 'moderate' disability from the depression and anxiety he says he had as a result of the videos popularity and the ridicule he received.
