Brooklyn restaurant demands all customers eat in silence

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A New York City restaurant is keeping things quiet, by requiring all customers to eat in silence.

The head chef at Eat, in Brooklyn, says he was inspired to put "No talking" on the menu after spending time with Buddhist monks in India.

He says silence allows for customers to better experience the food.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, chairs for the four courses dished up without the chit-chat fill up fast.
