Drive-thru times slowing down according to study

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It looks like drive-thru times are slowing down.

That news comes from an annual study by fast food industry trade publication QSR Magazine.

The study measured the average drive-thru speed, from order to pick-up, at 7 major fast food restaurants.

The average wait time was approximately 3 minutes--that's about 8 seconds slower than last year's average.

Chick-Fil-A was the slowest, with an average time of nearly 3:24. Wendy's was the fastest with an average time of nearly 2:14.

According to researchers, the slow-down is due to more complex new products being offered and busier drive-thru lanes.
