Based in the heart of Michigan's Capitol City, Nick Minock serves as the Political Reporter for WWMT.
The decisions that are made in Lansing impact every person in Michigan. That is why Nick is committed to inform people in his home state with investigative and impactful stories that matter to our day-to-day lives.
Nick is excited he got the call to return to Michigan. He grew up in Livonia, Michigan before attending college in Minnesota at St. Cloud State University.
Before joining WWMT, Nick worked his way up to Evening Anchor at KDLH-TV, the CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota.
Nick also worked at the most watched stations in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Charleston, South Carolina.
He worked as an Assignment Editor at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis and as a Reporter at WCSC-TV in Charleston.
While working in Charleston, Nick was one of the first reporters on the scene of the tragic mass shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church.
Nick's reports showed the never-ending support for the nine families who lost their loved ones. His reports also highlighted how the Charleston community healed after the biggest tragedy the South has seen in decades.
Nick is always looking for story ideas, volunteer opportunities, and community events to attend. He encourages you to send him a tweet, become a friend on Facebook, and write him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
