Christine VanTimmeren joined Newschannel 3 in March of 2016.

She came here from our sister station KOKH in Oklahoma City where she spent the last three years as a reporter. While in Oklahoma City Christine covered the deadly F5 tornado that hit Plaza Towers Elementary and killed seven children. She also covered the 20th Anniversary of the Murrah Federal Building bombing. Her work on a half hour special, remembering that day, won first place from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.

Prior to that Christine worked at WHEC in Rochester, NY. There she was the weekend news anchor and reporter.

Christine grew up in West Michigan and is excited to be back reporting for her home state. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University.

She and her husband love spending time on Lake Michigan.
