KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Coach Steve Hawkins and the WMU Broncos walked out of University Arena with a big win Wednesday night.

The Broncos built a 22-point first half lead and held on to beat league preseason favorite Toledo 87-76.

Bruising sophomore Connor Tava led the way with 25 points on a perfect shooting night from the field.

His continued emergence will be key to the team's long-term success.
