KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A popular response from high school football teams this time of year is that "we're ready to play a real game."

It's kind of how the sports department at Newschannel 3 feels as well.

Attending summer camps is one thing, but everybody is ready to get down to business.

One of the featured games for Thursday's inaugural edition of Football Fever for the 2014 season is at McCamley Field in Portage.

Portage Northern takes on the same Battle Creek Lakeview club that knocked them from the playoffs a year ago.

Newschannel 3 will also be covering:

  • Portage Central at Mattawan
  • Paw Paw at Otsego
  • Kalamazoo United at Comstock
  • Harper Creek at Caledonia

We'll be at all these games and more tonight. Look for more on Newschannel 3 Live at 11.
