      WMU hires asst. hockey coach to replace departed Rob Facca

      KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - WMU Hockey has officially hired an assistant coach to replace Rob Facca, who accepted a scouting position with the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks.

      Ben Barr comes to West Michigan from Providence College.

      Prior to that, he spent three years at Union College, recruiting the senior class that just won the NCAA title.

      The Minnesota native played his college hockey at RPI in New York state.
