Eli Manning accused of participating in scheme to sell falsely labeled Giants gear
NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - NFL player Eli Manning is mixed up in some bad business allegations this morning.
He is accused of taking part in a scheme to sell falsely-labeled New York Giants gear.
The legal filing was made in a New Jersey court Thursday as part of a civil racketeering case against Manning and the Giants organization.
Court documents claim Manning sent an email to the Giants' equipment manager asking for "helmets that could pass as game used," and fake gear so he didn't have to give up the real thing.
The Giants organization has not responded to the accusations.
